Dara is tall for a woman, solidly built, years of training in armor reflected in heavy musculature that does much to hide her gender. She looks younger than her thirty years, and, although her bony build and sharply chiseled features prevent her from being called beautiful, she does make a boyishly handsome man. She has a wealth of blue-black hair, cut in a wedge that falls to the base of her neck, and ice-blue eyes. She is quiet, cautious, thoughtful, and scholarly, fond of intrigues and the court lifestyle, yet extremely pious. She has the tendency to fall into dark moods of brooding, where she speaks little and prays a great deal. She is sincerely devoted to the chivalric ideal, although she fights out of a sense of obligation rather than any true love of battle; to her, duty is absolute. Personal History 535 Darius and Dara are born to Quintus Lucius, a vassal-knight. 550 Quintus Lucius dies of the Yellow Plague; Darius leaves home. 554 Darius disappears on the Grail Quest. 555 Darius returns mad, supposedly; Dara begins her training. 562 Dara finishes her training and joins Arthur Pendragon's army. 563 Battle of Joyous Gard (Arthur's siege of Lancelot's castle). 564 Battle of Benoic (second siege of Lancelot's castle). 565 Battle for Brittany (the Frankish rebellion). 565 Battle of Kent (Arthur vs. Mordred in Dover). 565 Battle of Barham Down (Arthur vs. Mordred). 565 Battle of Camlann (the Final Battle).
