I don't know if I'm as upset (justifiably, IMHO) as Mike is, but I do think that we need to make an effort to find a day and time to play Ars Magica and then stick to that. I'm sort of the newbie in this group in that I really only know Mike to any degree, but I did enjoy the first couple of meetings when everyone was there, and I'd like to get to know you all better.
And I'd also like to echo Mike's point about making time in the midst of a busy schedule: between my teaching, my dissertation, conference papers, departmental meetings and politics, domestic chores, and so on, there's not a lot of time left for RPGs. But I made a committment to this game and to this group of people, and I'd like to think that I've maintained that committment. No one else is any less busy or any more busy than I am (I think being married and having a RL job gives Mike the trophy for busiest), so it doesn't seem like a lot of effort for people to set aside four or so hours a week, show up punctually, and be courteous enough to inform Mike ahead of time if they're not going to be able to make the session for that week so that Mike doesn't end up blowing a good two hours of his time waiting to see if anyone shows up.
Sermon over. I'm now going to propose the days and times that work for me. B/c I teach, I really can't play on "school" nights. So Sunday evening, Tuesday, and Thursday are not even remote possibilities for me. I have no problem with the Wednesday time, and Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays would also suit me just dandy.
