Pete's Ideas

-Magi-

He looks about middle age, a surprisingly agile man with a large silver streaked black beard. He uses the name Elijiah, a special few know his true name, but in the countryside that he frequents the people call him Rabbi, for many men out of respect and love, for a few men out of fear and suspician. The Rabbi is known to have performed many miracles, and saved many lives. He has brought an aura of protection to the community that lives and dies and works the land here on the Hungarian coast of the Adriatic Sea. Amoung peasants of this land he is reality. In other places his names have woven into the myth and legend heard in fireside tales and the stories told to children.

Amoung the spiritual leaders, and those who care to know such matters, the rumors whisper that Elijiah knows the true name of God.

-Companions-

Andres, the strange one, the boy who grew up in the community, yet always seemed a distance apart. A wild boy, musical, clever wit, serious in his pursuits, though he never took his land working chores as seriously as his peers, however embarrassing this was to his family. Always asking questions that should not be asked, for everyone knew that questions are dangerous. Then Andres began to study with the great Rabbi who took an interest in this precocious teen. Laughter and derision from the community changed to a guarded respect and silent nods. No longer in peasant's garb, the dark clothed Andres now mimics the fashion of his master, Elijiah. His black skull cap now bears the sign, sewn in silver thread, of the great magi. Now, Andres focuses on his studies and his master's teachings with a higher priority than other pursuits, much to the fustration of certain people, one in particular.

The Rabbi has a daughter, wily, entrancing and full of life, she does not let her father fall off his toes. Elijiah's unexpected blessing, her raven black hair contains streaks of silver, precognated by her birth name, Sylvia. Never to be underestimated, a quality the Rabbi knows to come from her mother, Sylvia plays out her social role as required, yet she contains a rebellious streak. A quality of uniqueness that should get her into trouble, but somehow she manages to escape squeaky clean. She knows the game her various admirers play, and she wins every time. Andres, however, is a strange one to figure out, a man who does not play by the usual rules. Sylvia's acquaintance with him is new, undefined, but different. A man that might cause her to slip from the her determined self conception. Besides, she thinks he's cute.

-Grogs-

An excellent cook, attentive nurse, morally mother figure by name of Agnes (pronounced Agnesh). A 'house' boy, servant, gopher, errand runner, skinny orphan called Agi (pron. Agee). A helper to Agnes, a hard working girl from the local village named Vera.

-Covenant-

Preferrably at a place that can contain books. A room or place perhaps for meeting. Spring or Summer since Elijiah would have been somewhat established (however newly) in the area. He has settled for the moment in order to fullfill his requirement as a teacher.
