As I mentioned at our last session, the large number of Moorish Magi and Companions has made me rethink my choice of Usa'mah, the Saracen merchant, as a second Companion. I'm now explaining Alanus and Maggie's presence at the Concilium as due to the intervention of several of the Moorish characters (I'm not sure which ones -- players, help me out here). In his journeys into Saracen lands in search of new plants and animals, Alanus used the other characters as guides and sources of information. Is this O.K.? It does help explain why such a normal guy would end up at a Covenant as screwed up in the head as ours!
This of course means that I need a new second Companion. My idea is this: a wild boy of the Peter Pan type. Or, put another way, a Faery Changeling Alanus managed to rescue at some point in his travels. How does that idea strike folks?
