Folks --
I've got confirms from Doug, Lydia, Rob, and John, so we're on for tomorrow. The officialities are:
Polar Bear Lounge 6pm - 10pm Wed Dec 7 1994
I haven't heard from Pete of Paul. SHAME SHAME SHAME! BAD DOG! Please show up.
House Rules, by Storyguide Fiat, effective now:
(1) If you miss the beginning session of an adventure, and then show up for later sessions, you cannot play your Magus or Companions unless it makes sense within the framework of the plot. You may play as a Grog, however. Note that I will be fairly lenient in applying this rule -- brownie points for legitimate explanations.
(2) If you participate in the beginning session, but are absent for later sessions, I will play your Magus/Grogs as Semi-Participating Observers. If given advance warning, I will try to structure the plot to accomodate missing players. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR CHARACTERS WILL STILL BE ALIVE THE NEXT TIME YOU SHOW UP. I will not purposefully put them 'in way of harm', nor will I allow other players to use them as 'trap catchers' (who'll open that door? the RANGER'll do it!) but if bad things happen, and a duck 'n cover defense is insufficient, players who are present will be much more likely to react creatively and appropriately than 'roboticized' Magi/Companions played by yers truly.
(3) If you miss three sessions in a row, you are out. Period. End of discussion.
(4) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come prepared. Eat before you get there, bring paper and pencils, dice, etc. You're all grown-ups, you know how to prepare for a session.
(5) If you can't make it for ANY reason (good or bad) TELL ME so I don't hold up the session waiting for you. I won't penalize you if you have anything approaching a decent excuse (term paper due, carpal tunnel syndrome, dead family member, whatever).
(6) Paul, you still have my dice. I want them. ;)
(7) There is no #7.
