Folks --
I am now closing enrollment in the Deadfire Saga.
Active players will be:
Mike Simpson captain@pobox.upenn.edu [Storyguide]
Brian Mac Donald brianm@phil.cursci.com [may change soon]
Doug Bellew bellew@eniac.seas.upenn.edu
John Kuner jkuner@eniac.seas.upenn.edu
Lydia Leong lwl@eniac.seas.upenn.edu
Paul Curtis pcurtis@sas.upenn.edu
Peter Kitchin pkitchin@upenn5.hep.upenn.edu
Rob Barrett rbarrett@dept.english.upenn.edu
Inactive players (just along for the idle reading, for the moment):
Harold Trinkunas antanas@leland.stanford.edu
Jesse Bausch fbausch@mail.sas.upenn.edu
I never got responses from:
John Batzel batzel@seas.upenn.edu
Glenn Mulvaney gam@aurora.cis.upenn.edu
Kris Varhus varhus@eniac.seas.upenn.edu
I'll assume they're tired of being spammed and drop them from my mailing
alias immediately; this will be the last message you will receive from
me unless I hear otherwise. If any of the primary players decide to drop
out, you'll get first chance at filling the spot.
I'm VERY, VERY excited that we got seven solid players so quickly. Thank
you for your enthusiasm; I expect this to be quite a lot of fun. I had
picked the setting (East-Central Europe, 1325) for a simple, purely
plot-centering reason (can't tell you -- you'll find out soon enough);
the more I read about the period, the more I realize what a pivotal time
it was in European history (plenty of parallels to the current day, of
course -- but that's shop talk for the coffee-house crowd, not campaign
material). I'm also falling rapidly in love with the _Ars Magica_
system, as an added bonus. It's not Harnmaster, but hey? who the hell
knows what that is, anyway? >;)
I *have* acquired a WWW home page -- you can get to it through:
http://pobox.upenn.edu
and follow the links to Mike Simpson. For the moment, it's just the
electonic equivalent of a "BEGIN ROADWORK 500 FEET" sign; but I have the
relevant materials to hand and HTML is a stone-cold breeze. I expect to
have a few things up by the end of the weekend, and I'll be adding to it
regularly. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do make requests for specific
information -- otherwise I'll just type in reference books one page at a
time. Don't make me do that. Please.
More later.
