Doug's Ideas

Here is my basic concept:

Fars(worth) Antribothin: (Main Character: Mage)
aka Sage Paul Archlien

(Arch-Bishop) Bartin Antribothin: (Companion: Ex - Priest)
aka Sage Nold Boldofor

Wendy 'The Silver Slasher' Antribothin: (Companion: Catburglar, Assassin)
aka. Amanda Boldofor
'The Princess'
'The Dangler'
'The High Walker'

(All are wanted under their original names by the religious authorities in Constantinople for execution, and have been ex-communicated. As of yet, there is no link between their current names and their old lives.)

: and there in the twisty streets of London who only come together to meet
: in the dead of night in an abandoned warehouse.

I prefer the sewers, it would go better with my character concept. A meeting place, with a path through some of the unused sections of the sewers.

All characters are immediate family, with Bartin being the Father, and Fars and Wendy being brother and sister (with Wendy being 'adopted').

Bartin was a respected priest, with a wife and a young son. He was rising fast in the ranks of the regional priesthood (rather important being they were living in Constantanople) becomming one of the youngest bishops ever in his diocese. He then discovered his 'talent'. He dabbled with it a little bit, doing this and that, healing, and performing 'miracles' in the name of the lord, bringing even more converts to the church, and seemingly going to rise really fast. Until a few others of the 'talent' cought on, set him up, and framed him for using black magic and dealing with Satan. They wanted to burn him and his family at the stake, but Bartin escaped with his two children, and now seeks to revenge himself on those who framed him, as well as to find his wife, who escaped on her own and never showed at the rendezvous point.

Wendy was very young when the kindly young priest first took her off the street. She never knew her real parents, and after seeing what she came from she never wants too. She kept in touch over the years with the street however, and after fleeing with her father when she was 10 years old, joined the local underground society to help feed the family, since her father couldn't show his face because even in exile his face was well known, and her little brother was to young to do real work. She found herself extremely adroit with balancing and not afraid of heights, so the started as a second-story apprentice. She advanced and went on to learn from the best in her field. Unlike her father she doesn't believe that all debts will be paid in time. In her hatred for what was done to her family, she is taking her revenge one person at a time. Each with more protection than the last just to make it interesting.

Her identity is still a secret as none of her 'patients' (as she likes to refer to them) has ever survived her treatment. She can pass as a 'doctor', being more than adequite with a knife and knowledge of anatomy.

Her calling card is a small silver blade honed razor sharp, placed through the bridge of the nose and into the brain.

Fars is the one true idealist in the family. Having been sheltered somewhat from his father's hatred by his sister, he believes that there is some good in everyone, and that his magic should be used for the good of humanity and the world itself. He is a scholar and is often sequistered with his books for days searching for another vital element to a new spell. His great intelligence has made him, like his father, a quick riser in the academic, and magical circles (he knows enough to keep those seperate).

He generates few open enemies however, for no matter how innocuous and a nice guy he seems, and how little it appears he cares for the politics of the outside world, anyone who could have been seen as to have been threatening Fars ends up dead.

'Noam' and 'Paul' are currently working as sages in the city of (insert local city here), and often use it as a cover for discussing deep 'philsophical' issues with their 'clients', as well as being able to be seen taking long walks together in deep discussion. It would also allow them to have large numbers of books and gadgets without causing comment.

'Amanda' would be working with both the local underground and the underground in Constantanople, passing herself off as a local doctor going to the big city for the latest in treatments etc. She is very popular since she treats most of the locals for free (getting money by passing caravan information to certain individuals), and has actually saved more than a number of lives of the local populace both with her own skill with the knife and after having "consultations" with Noam and Paul. She is knowledgable in the collection and applications of poisons, anesthesia, and nerve and muscle relaxants.

: c. Covenants tend to come in four broad categories,

I'd like to play in a 'Spring' Covenant, with the ability to let Far's idealism flourish, and possibly bring a redemption of his family members.
